II., last Monday. The falling of a buildling in Cincin nati last Monday killed and wounded several men and women. A negro, Simon Garrett, committed en outrage on MJrs. Perry King, at Oxford, Ohio, last Saturday, and on Monday he was taken out of jail by a mob and killed. Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, McCormick, has expressed his de termination to resign. The New York Republican Associn tion of Washington City has disbanded and turned its assots over to the Soldiers Home at Biath, N. Y. Robert Leitch, a Scotcl:nman, from Fernandina. Fla., died of yellow fever in New York on 31st ult. The Turks -have abandoned their attack on Schil,ka Pass. Both sides have lost very heavily in recent en gagements.
