YELLOWSTONE MONITOR. ABSOLUTELY INDEPENDENT. Published at Glendive, Dawson County, Montana by E. A. MARTIN. SUBSCRIPTION PRICE, $2.00 PER YEAR Entered as second-class matter March 3, 1905, at the postoffice at Glendive, Mont., under the Act of Congress of March 3, 1879. THURSDAY. FEB. 10. 1910. Nature No Respecter Of Persons The disastrous floods in the old city of Paris, which the cable dispatches have been announcing during the last few days, show that old Dame Nature cares naught for high or low degree, good or wicked, so far as the great human family is concerned. When the old dame has one of her freakish spells on, there is no telling what she is liable to do next. For countless centuries the capital of France has flourished on the banks of the Seine. In intellectual and artistic development, this ancient French metropolis has no superior on the European continent. The brilliant minds of ages have centered within her confines. For centuries all thai archi tecture has to offer t...

BRIEF AND BREEZY Does Mr. Taft expect the Senate to do anything when Mr. Aldrich is not present? Senator LaFollette himself may be the greatest demagogue of the age, but the fact remains that that which he is preaching and teaching is for the general uplift of mankind. Mr. Champ Clark should go slow. If he and his cohorts reform "Uncle Joe" too early in the game, they may spoil their own prospects. Col. Frank L. Stanton thinks he might easily swear off from eating meat "were it not for beefsteak and onions." Somebody will have to call this obstrepterous member to order. Mr. Taft believes that the Presi dent should be the head of his par ty. There's one Roosevelt policy that has not become impaired. The next President may be elect-* ed on the vegetarian ticket. Any man who thinks he can easily push Taft out of the way has not seen the man. Why don't those kind-hearted Congressmen let Ballinger name his own whitewash committee. Senator Aldrich is not a rash man. He will count at least...
