Nicaragua Mineral Krwrnrct*.—The mineral' resources of Nicaragua are ai»o immense. Gold. silver. copper, lead, an i iron may be found in considerable' quantifies in varioos parts, but more particularly in Segovia. which district ii probably not exceeded in its mineral wealth by any equal pariion of the continent. The working' of Ihe mine« has of course vastly fallen off from the lime of the Spaniards; still, their produce is considerable, hot it is impossible to obtain any satisfactory statist!'-* eon renting it. A portion of the guld and silver finds its way through Isabel to the Belize; other portions pass on Ihroogh the ports of Tnjxilfo end Omoa. in Honduras; and another bul smaller part reaches the ports of Nicaragua. There is now no mint in Central America, excepting a small one in Costa Rica, which coins from SfiOflflO to S 100.000 annually, principally in dollar pieces of gold. These are shori of weight, and are not generally cur rent. Their true value is 98 cents Humboldt, ...
