Berrima News. A very pleasant time was spent in the Hall, Bor rima, on Tuesday ciening last, the occasion being a farewell social to Mr. and Mrs. Fogarty and family, who are leaving tho district. Dancing was com menced soon after 8 o'clock and continued till mid night, when a break wan made for refreshments, and were much enjoyed. After all had satisfied tho inn2r man, Mr. J. Crippe expressed regret at the early departuie of Mr. Fogarty, whose services had always been willingly given to social and other func tions, and said th-it ho would be greatly missed. Mr. Gowrie Ruthven presided over a meeting of ihe above on Wi dm-sduy evening last, at the Com meioial Hotel, Moss Vale, there beiug a fair attend ance of delegates. There was a fair amonnt of business brca;ht for ward for the meeting to decide, tho most important being a protect by the Robertson club against Wildo'H Meadow for playing a new arrival in the district, and that that member did not play with tho nearest club. After considerable discussion, and e-ateuiunts from Messrs. Rosa, Graham, and Sal mon, the matter was ruled out of order, on tho grounds that the residential bylaw was m-t legally passed by a two-thirds majority, tho voting at tho annual meeting being 13 to 8 instead of 10 to 8.
