Miss Elizabeth Miller, of 10 Alexan der Parade, Fitzroy, Melbourne, says : — ' For many years I endured awful agon ies caused by biliousness and indigestion. What I went through no one but myself knows. Accumulated bile caused mo terrible suffering and when the attacks were on I would have to stop every now and again even if I was in the street. Quantities of bile caused me to retch and strain in an awful manner. These dread ful illnesses made me very weak and miserable, and nothing seemed able to shake them off. The Public Schools at Bombala, Bellview and Pipeclay Creek, and the Bombala Convent School combined and to this 'unity' much of the suc cess of the proceedings was due. On assembling the ' flag ' was QJ ? hoisted by little Miss Smith, daugh ter of the Mayor, and addresses were delivered by Rev. Elliott, B.D., Rev. P. J. Moore, Rev. F. Yarnall, and Mr. John Perry. His Worship the Mayor presided over this portion of the function. An energetic committee of ladies had prepared a sumptuous supply of edibles which were duly appreciated by adults as well as children. RAILWAY NEWS. THE LINE TO BE CON STRUCTED. BY DAY LABOR. On Monday we received a wire from Mr. Miller, M.L.A., stating that the Minister for Public Works had approved of the Nimitybelle-Bombala railway being constructed by day labor and had given instructions for the work to be proceeded with imme diately. The Mayor, on receipt of the eood news, sent a wire to Mr. Miller thanking him for his efforts on our behalf and congratulating him on the success of those efforts. Mr. Miller has replied, ' Dear Mr. Smith, — Your very welcome wire re Bombala railway to hand. Kindly convey my appreciation to Bombala folk, for their good wishes. I'll keep matters moving. My desire is to see the Melbourne and Sydney lines kiss ing and wedded.' The Mayor has now written to Mr. Miller to urge the Department of Works to start the work at both ends so that employment will be given to our own people who want work of this nature.
