Uuzfrl Information. 'REl'ARX\G SKINS AND BARK-FOR MARKET. Tax following useful hints are given in a circular by Messrs. Younghusbhand and Orossua Sius.-Peg out as square as possible as soon as the skin is taken off, and put in the shade to dry. When thoroughly dry, pack far to fur, then place in sacks or bales, and avoid crumpling the skins. SnmzESKLss.-When the skins are taken off, they should be dried in the shade by being thrown either across a fence or a wire, pelt up. The trotters should not be cut off until the skin is nearly dry. In cases where datngge is likely to ensue, either by reason of long distance the consignment has to come or weevil, &c., they should be painted with the fluid, the preparation of which, with directions as to its use, are given below. Whien thoroughly dry, the skins should be m* ade into bandles, all pscked the one way up, and any folds should be with the woolly aide outwards. DAIRY CAT.LE AND PIGS. MESSES. Aso AN D Wunso. report: Darer CArrL--(14th August): A good supply of milch cows yarded, consisting mostly of a medium and inferior quality. Prices throughout were very low, great dffficulty being experienced to effect sales, with the exception of a few good cows with calves at foot and springers. We quote: First-class cows, with calves at foot, from £8 OS to £ll: one extra good cow brought £13; medium and inferior, from £2 to £6 los., according to age and quality ; springers about the same as last week, one extra good at £5; other sorts and young stock about the same as last quotations. Pro MAaarr.-(14th August): There was a medium supply penned, the majority being stores and inferior porkers; good quality of all classe showed a decided improvement on late good rates. We quote:-Porkers, from 41d to 6d; extra quality to 7d per lb.; baconers from 4d to 5d, best quality to 51d" er lb.; stores and young pigs at very sati?s actory prices.
