Na'halia Fire Brigade. - As a result cf a visit of the Chief Officer of Country Fire Brigades, Colonel Marshal], a short time ago, the following report has been re ceived by the local brigade:— Nathalia—Date of inspection, 6th May, 1914. Plant—Two hose reels, 1.200 feet hose with 3 thread round couplings, 3 hydrants, 6 branches, 25 ft. ladder, 3 hooks, 10 torches, hatchet. - Members—Ou roll 12. Water Supply—The supply is ob tained by pumping from the Broken Creek into a tank 70 ft. high, the holding capacity of which is 40,000 gallons. The outlet main is 6 in., and this runs to and up the main street as far as the bridge, where is reduced to 4 in. to the railway sta tion. Three other streets are served by 4 in. pipes, and the rest by 3 in. and 2 in. Water Pressure—30 lbs. Fire Plugs—There are 42 plugs. In the business centre 80 yards apart.
