Scrutchin, plaintiff, vs. Eugene Smith, defendant. The above entitled action, after sev eral adjournments, came on for trial before a jury of twelve men, in the Village of Bemidji, County of Bel trami, State of Minnesota, on the 11th day of February, 1902, at 10 o'clock A the Hon. W. F. Street and John F. Gibbons, Esq., appearing as at torneys for the plaintiff, and L. H. Bailey, Esq., appearing as attorney foe the defendant. OUR correspondent at Buzzle wants us to explain why in the proposed new court house case, it is not "cheaper to pay rent than to own a home." Full information is also wanted as to what this structure will cost the tax-payers. Such information as we have, we cheerfully give. Al though published in Bemidji, the PIONEER has always considered the whole county its field. We have never yet sought to boost Bemidji to the detriment of thevalue rest of the county.
