'In Financial matters yesterday tlioro was to change beyond an improvement in Un cuirent Money, and a diminished demand for Exchange and Coin. The Monetary mar ket continued close, but the applications fur Loans were moderate, and there was no Special pressure in any quarter. Intbeafter noon, the improved feeling of the morning . subsided, in consequence of the unfavorable ilonctary news telegraphed from New York. Business was dull in third-street, a general indisposition to operate to any extent being observable there. Very little Paper was seen in outside circles, where the rate Con tinued to be alaout 2 per cent, a month. The Discount-houses wore doinjr a few pieces of prim, shot Paper for particular customers at 1012 per cent, per annum. asiern Exchange was less active than tin Tuesday, but there were no sales on New York below 2 premium.
