Miles at military head quatters had received two dispatches on that evening the first from Pierre S. D. stating that Silting Bull and his son had been killed giving no particu- lars. The second dispatch was from Standing Rock agency stating that Indian police started out that morning to arrest Sitting Bull having .under- stood that he proposed starting for the Ba'd Lands.
