Items of News. Two deaths occurred at the hospital on Monday, the second occurring late at night. Messrt. Stansall and Teesdale notify that they have started business in Maritana-street, and have the best and coolest drinks on hand.         Mr. A. Janeezek was taken ill on Monday   and removed to Mrs. Meecham's private hospital. He is under the care of Dr.   O'Meehan. For fear the terms proposed by the Post master-General should not be accepted by the telegraph operators, 12 fresh hands left Perth on Monday to take over the work on the fields, but as the difficulty has been settled their   services will not now be required. We' arc informed by Mr. 0. J. Moran, M.L.A.. that we were in error in stating in our report of the Mount. .Monger trip, that Ma. A. W. Cruikshank is the private repre sentative of the firm of C. J. Moran & Co. On enquiry on Tuesday aftcrno'on, we learned that' Mr A. Janeuzek, who was ad mitted into Mrs Mcccham's private hospital on Monday, is suffering from influenza. Dr O'Mcehan reports that he is progressing favourably.
