LONGREACH STATE SCHOOL. (To the Editor Longreach "Leader"). [Newspaper Article] — The Longreach Leader — 9 March 1923

LONG RE ACPI STATE SCHOOL. ¿i -(To the Editor Longreach "Leader ). Deai' Sir,-About two weeks ago I re- ceived a letter from Mr. Davis, head master of the State School, asking me, as a parent, to atend a meeting l'or the pur- pose of electing a. Committee for the en- suing 12 months, and stating that it was r .necessary that 20 persons should attend to form a quorum.. This meeting was also advertised in your paper. On the appoint- ed, night, only two persons attended, al- though Mr. Davies informed me that he had issued over 100 notices, . Since his appointment here, Mr. Davies .has advanced the School and has given a great deal of his own time, after hours, : to assistants pupils in their sport, and dur lng the holidays one could see him and " v some of-the, staff hard at work laying a r . tennis court, which . has proved a credit to them.
