WHEELER ON PRICE OF EGGS "With the refaV of. the British Government to payi more than. 2/6d. a dozen for export eggs, we have the threat of a man made depression in the poultry industry," said Mr. Roy Wheeler, MI.H.R., to-day. "During the recess I am con sulting producers in my division as to what can be done, but there does not seem to be a satisfactory solution," Mr. Whee ler continued. "The Chifley con tract has us tied hand and foot." Mrs. Ethel .Jarrett (67), of Grose Street, Parramatta, died recently. She is survived bybher husband, Thomas, two sons and a daughter. The interment took place in Riverstone Church of England cemetery.

BLUSH-PINK AND SILVER LAME Lovely frocking of the bridal ensemble distinguished the re cent wedding of Miss Maud Gim son to Mr. Harold, Blackburn at the Congregational Church, Parramatta. The bride is the daughter of MIr. and Mrs. W. Gimson, of Pennant Hills. The groom, son of Mrs. A. Blackburn, of Parra matta, lid the late Mr. Black burn, is well known in this district as Sunday School super intendent and organist at the Congregational Church. The bride's gown, of . soft, blush-pink and silver lame, was cut on classical lines with deep V-neckline, three-quarter sleeves and fitted bodice .above a very full skirt. The skirt featured a narrow front peplum widen ing at the back to cascade down each side of a flounced panel With it the bride wore a crownless hat of stiffened and overlaid pink tulle, and long white gloves. Will Consider Problem Of Traffic Tonnage Holroyd Council has deferred   consideration of a proposal to limit traffic tonnage on certain   roads in the municipality, pend- ing a special report from its Engineer (Mr. J. R. McClelland). Council some time ago limited the use of Merrylands Road, Merrylands, to vehicles under 10 tons, when road surfaces de- teriorated under the weight of heavy vehicles. Mr. McClelland will consider limitation of weights on the following roads: ● Merrylands Road, between Greystanes Road and the railway line, near Merrylands station. ● Old Prospect Rd., from Greystanes Rd., to the Great Western Highway. ● Alexandra Ave., fr0m Bridge Rd., to Hawesbury Rd. ● Garfield St., from the Great Western Highway to Dunmore Street.
