Sheep Sales Macarthur .& Macleod report:-. Fat. Sheep. -At Newmarket on Tuesday there were \approximately 24,0000 fat sheep submitted to auction. The quality was exception ally good, probably the best seen at Newmarket this year. Top average price for one truck of wethers was 33/, a consignment of 84 head sell ing to 33/10. Top price for one pen of fat wethers was 34/1. Prime crossbred wethers sold from 24/ to 28/, only exceptional sheep :I:being higher. Merino wethers sold from 18/ to 22.', with well woolled quality sheep higher, the top price for merino wethers being 29/. Top price for ewes was 26/1, but most . good pens sold at from 18/ to 21/ :with very light conditioned ewes as "low as 7/ per head.
