Some baby's food was in course of preparation, when tho soot in the chimney caught alight, and blazed up. Wet bags and buckets of water were, obtained, and the lire was soon under control, tho services of tho brigado not beint; needed. No damago was done to tho chimney.

Games of all kinds were indulged in, and the excursionist. s returned at about (i.SO after a thoroughly enjoyable outing. The event was a greater kucccsr than last year, owing to the day being a pub lic holiday.
