PRESIDENT PLANS TRIP Will Leave Washington About First of April for a Rest in the West . TO BE CONE UNTIL JUNE . Will Attend Dedication of St . Louis Fair Grounds on the Thirtieth of April . Washington , March 12 . —President Roosevelt s contemplated western trip was a subject of some discussion at the white house Thursday . Senators Long , of Kansas , and Hopkins , of Illinois , and Fourth Assistant Postmaster General Bristow , also of Kansas , talked with the president about his tour . The Kansas people are urging 1 the president to make some stops in their state after the dedication of the exposition grounds April 30 . Only one stop thus far has been arranged . Washington , March 12 . —The press is Informed by a member of the family of Justice Day , of the United States supreme court , that he is suffering from a severe attack of grip . His condition , it is admitted , is serious . Mrs . Day and two sons arrived here Wednesday .
