Atlantic Items. ...,The brandflfrm of Brown Brothers,VEnglish capitalists in New Orleans, was assessed $100,000 fur the support of the Southern Confederacy, which they refused to pay, and only got clear of it by the interference of the English Consul. ....Senator Douglas is very ill, and it is doubtful if he ever fully recovers his health. Rheumatics trouble him, aud it is not strange that they do. .... A minister commands a company in Ohio, who is said to be a powerful in prayer, and a good shot.
