Tho New Orleans papers publish the following letters from mem- bers of the Into unfortunate Cuban expedition under tho command of Col. W. S. Crittenden : Havana Augnst 1G 1851. Dear Hiding : Wo arrived on the island of Cuba after the most horrible passage you can coneeh'o of cooped on board with -100 or 500 men. AVe arrived on Sunday last I believe dates I have almost for- gotten. The next. morning General Lopez with General Paraguay and all the commanding officers left us (I mean Crittenden und his ba- tallion). We heard nothing moro of him for two days when Critten- den despatched a note.
