Another fatal Sail way Acci dent. (Saturday's Observer.) A frightful accident occurred about 8 o'clock this morning at Anohetiflover, where the railway line it being raised above flood level, the victim being a married man named Martin Brazel, living at Annie^atreet, Torwood. A ballast train from North Pine was pushing along on the lower rail-that is. die one which has not yet been raised-fur the purpose of shnnting down to come on to the other line to unload. Brazel was one of the men engaged in the uuluading, and was on the higher line as the train passed. Be tried to jump on one of the trucks, bnt lost his footing in the'suft material of the bank, and fell lengthwise nnder the train, which was moving at the rate of fonr or five miles an honr. One of the Iaboarexs signalled to the driver, who could not see the accident, and tho train was stopped almost immediately. The body of the seaman Donald M'Anley, who was drowned in the river on 10 th July, was recovered on Saturday morning. PANIC ON THE SPANISH COAST. LOOTQIT, July 1® The recent successes of the Americana in Cuba, and the despatch of Commodore Watson's squadron to European waters, have created a great panic at Barcelona and other coastal cities of Spain, which are in ! fear of bombardment by the American squadron. The banks ore removing their stores of specie into the intorior for safety, and tha Governor of one of the coastal cities is reported to have avowed that the Spanish Government would be powerless to afford any help in the event of ail attack by the Americans.

Death of Mrs. Lamoad. causo of death was consumption, the outcome of an attack of dengue fever, contracted in Cooktown some twelve months since. Until quite recently Mrs. Lamond was to be seen mo ing about with her friends; in fact she was able to play lawn tennis daring our show carnival in May last, so that her end, coming so rapidly as it did, naturally was a great shock to her {amily snd friends.
