BASEBALL. LIVERPOOL CLUB. [Newspaper Article] — Liverpool News — 15 July 1937

BASEBALL. j LIVERPOOL CLUB. Last Satuiday, Liverpool Baseball Club, without being extended, easily accounted for Westmead by 18 to 5. These scores do not indicate hew the game was played, for, although their lidding was very bad (and it was mainly through this that Liverpool won so eas ily), Liverpool's fielding was excellent, , but their batting was very weak. With such players as B. Kealo. B. Childs and B. Rees being struck out or hitting simple catches, of which eight out of nine were dropped, and there being uiuy one week before th3y meet the leaders, Liverpool will have their work cut out to defeat them. B. Hindmarsh, who had to fight his way into the team, has more than once proved his ability with the bat, and his little bunts are as good as a home run. A Hoy played a nice even game. This match was good practice for the locals, as next Saturday, in the Camp oval, they play A.G.E, No. 1, who de feated Liverpool by a wide margin in the first game. This game should b2 very excit...
