Story of Sad Drowning Fatality C0RON1AL INQUIRY HELD AT BOOROWA DEATH OF YOUKG NEW AUSTRALIAN GIRL The story of the tragic ending of a picnic party (which resulted in a New Australian girl being drown ed on Easter Monday, was told to the District Coroner (Mr. A. P. Webb) at an inquiry held at the Boorowa Court House last Tuesday morning. The girl, Waleria Cichanowska, aged 12 y«ars, of Binalong, met her fatal death iu a dam at 'The Lagoons,' on the property of Mr. Middleton, on the Binaloug JJoad, near Boorowa. ? 'PROPERTY SALES HAVEJTOPPEB' Cowra Man's Statement -The credit restrictions have stopped the sale of properties in this area-' This was stated by Mr. J. Bargwanna, a member of the firm of Norman C. Bellamy & Co., Cowra stock and' station agents, in an interview with the Stock and Station Journal. ''The restrictions have tight ened up the sale of land. FIRM AFFECTED Vilf the Government closed down on borrowing, landholders and dealers can still approach the insurance companies. 'The restrictions have not hurt stock sales.' Mr. Bargwanna said his firm was affected by the restrictions on land sales. He believes that if a man owns a property he may borrow only £5,000, but if a man desires to purchase land, the banks will lend him £15,000.
