SUDDEN DEATHI OF Mt. ALLAN FRASER. (From the Ar gus.) Mr. Allan Fraser, the solicitor who has recently been so prominent before the public in the notorious case of Weller v. Kilgour, at Geelong, sud denly expired early yesterday morn ing, at the Albion Hotel, in Bourke street. I Smn-I cannot permit the alteration which hns bcen made in the date of the Wagga WVagga Annual Races to pass without either comment or censure. The grounds upon whvllich the change has been made, seem to me sarcelly clear or strong eiioelih, to justify a depiarturo fromntho period formecrly fixcd, and publicly imiouinced in your journal for a con sidorabl mtmbeir f wcekas. :Th1fi roasons for such an altertton, it n?ppe?rs to dcoi'lghttoi lbe incontrovertible ar.guiment. and not merely partial consider ations. The difforcnce of a fortnight in point of time can scarcoly be brought forvward, on turf grounds with a view to upset a previous arrangement, on the faith of which, some of our spiorting: men here, and doubtless a good many others at a distance were induced to act. Indeed o1 mere racing considorations, the fact that the period first assigned for our annual aces, coincided withthe great inter. colonial event at M...
