UNIVERSITY TO MANAGE HARRISBURG MED SCHOOL $50 MILLION FUND SET UP Ln the same year, 1909, that chocolate magnate Milton S. Her _ahey founded a school for poor orphan boys, the University first offered a pre-medical program. Now, 54 years later, the forces of the two are being joined in the construction and operation of a medical center in central Pennsylvania , The center will be constructed and endowed with a $50 million fund. In a surprise move yesterday the Dauphin County Orphans Court approved a petition filed in behalf of the Hershey Trust Co, requesting permission to transfer the sum to the Foundation. The University will administer the ' medical school, teaching hospital and research facilities to be built at an estimated cost of $25 million. This medical facility, to be named the Milton S.
