UNTY, MONTANA, FRIDAY, MA.RCH 1, 1912 MUST KOW BOUNDARIES Last week the Montana supreme court made a ruling that should prove of interest to every owner-of realty in the state. It laid down the doetrine that the seller of land is liable for damages to a" buyer if the former points out to the latter erronedus boundaries of the land sold.. The sellers good or bad faith, or honest mistake, is held not to be a valid defense. He is liable if his representations prove to have been wrong. Said the court: "If the vendor does not under take to point out the location or boundary lines df the property he seeks' to sell, the vendee must make such investigation as will satisfy himself; but if the vendor, who is presumed to know, points out the particular line as the boundary of his land, this fact re leaves the vendee from making in dependent investigation."
