Yesterday the county commis sioners let the official prilting for the year to the PIONEER OUgoodsPrice,beand at legal rates, the publishers agree ing that such work should also appear in the Shevlin Advocate, Bagley Independent and Black duck Times. This gives the pro ceedings of the board a thorough circulation through the county, as the combined papers have about 2,500 readers. In consid- eration of this, the Chinese bid of the News was higher than the PIONEER. And so the com mis sioners must have decided, as the News bid did not receive a vote. The county commissioners met Tuesday to hold their first an nual meeting. They re-elected Wes Wright as chairman. The various committees are the same as last year. Application will soon be made to the secretary of state for ar ticles of incorporation for the Continental Railway Co. This company, which may be a child of the Canadian Northern which crosses the northern boundary of Beltrami county, has filed in formation with the state railroad and warehouse commission. Nilsson, champion of the world, defeated Norval Baptie two races out of a series of three at the Be raidji Ice Rink Monday night. Long before the races were ad vertised to come oft' the galleries were filled, and people were, crowding in any and every place in order to be in readiness to see the races when they were pulled off.
