Weekly citizen. SA.TUKDAY. FEB. 21. 18?5 WOMAN itJITEAOE. The question of woman suffrage is ono that will find both opponents and f rinds, It is Komthing that has not been tested to any extent, therefore we know little or nothing about its workings. If wc coald eee any good that would result from giving woman tho right to vote, we wonld onlv be too clad to give her that right, provided sho would ask for it, bat the women of Arizona have net usxed lor the right to do jury duty or possibly Bet themselves up in opposition to the honest opinions and convictions ol their husbmds, nor have they asked to vote. We do not even know that majority, or anything like a majority, of the women of Arizona desire to secure the elective franchise. So far as we are able to Judge, the men in Arizona can do more voting than is actually neces sary to the peace and welfare of th community, and the multiplying of vsies cannot help matters. To bo plain we ore opposed to femaic suffrage. We cannot understand...

Weekly citizen. SATURDAY FEB. 2S. 1SS5 AMERICAN FUTURE CITY. ticorso M. Ilusinsou has a rather tironhetic nrtp le in tbe Century for March, entitled, "Tne Claims of Ctii cago," which contains n cood deal of food for thought. While the people of the East arc gradually loeincr feisht of the Great West, the latter is growing apace and every dny becoming more in- depeadent and nearer 6elf-supiortiug.
