THE ELLENSBURG BAND. 11Y "VNl't.E WILLIAM." Music inspires every gradation of humanity, from the enne-sucking dude up to man. It woos and leads the human race ever onvrard and upward, and we dream on higher plains of life when under its power. A few evenings ago at the new grand stand I heard the Ellensburg band give an open-air concert. The streets and sidewalks were thronged with youth and beauty, old age and maiden. To me tho music breathed thoughts In language sweeter than I had ever heard uttered by human tongue, and 1 was mesmerised, and I thought 1 fell asleep and was rapt into the realms of visions and dreams. I heard the rustle of a thousand joyous wings, and a burst of song from a thousand joyous throats, and the boys were angling for the finny tribe in the laugh waters of the "high-line ditch,"which has just been completed.
