A message was received from the Senate inform ing the house that a bill creating the county of Robertson had passed the senate and the concur- rence of 'the houso was asked. Also that the se nate had concurred in the act amending proceed ings before justices of the peace. On motion of Mr. Douglass the house adjourned until 3 o'clock P.M. 3 o'clock P.M. House met pursuant to adiournmcnt. A com. munication from the secretary of war in reply to a . resolution calling for the report of the laic quarter master general and the teport were read and re- ferred to the committee on military alTiirs. The bill which grants land to those who were in the battles of San Jacinto and San Antonio was taken up on its third reading.
