Tho meeting called by the Progress -Association on Wednesday night last for the-purpose of pushing oa the matter of the Strathbogie railway, was vrell at tended, the gathering being a represent ative one, end including the shiro presi dent (Cr Forshaw) and Ors. Mitchell. McShane, Wilson sod Gordon. An .pology was received from Or. Koach. Mr Carter, president of the Progress Association, explained the object of the meeting, and said the Standing Com mittee would visit the district in March to take evidence.'
