HINTS TO THE AMBITIOUS. [Newspaper Article] — Eden Free Press and Eden District Advertiser — 8 February 1899

HINTS TO THE AMBITIOUS., Tiiksk hints are intended by thfi '•Bulletin" for nspiring out-west coekies. First, if there's a blind gully any where near your home call it 'Glen {Something.' Clou is Scotch, and therefore, squattocritic. If you can't do this call it 'Something Park,' That is English, you know. Mark out a tennis-court, and let the family practise every day. You'll have to hire help to do their work, of course. ]f you want to go one hotter than your aspiring neighbours, start golf. If you can possibly borrow the money, build a new house. Jn any casts, be sure and root up the old wire fences, and put a white railing round the 'home paddock.' Got a tutor, or a governes?, one handy at the wood-heap or about j the house. Better pet a govern , Plenty of girls will wotic on half| wages if they .ire called Mis* So-! and-so. You score both way*. Get the men to cm 11 tli<- kids! 'master,' and •olios' if you can.
