The above match was played on the ground of the former club on Saturday last,'and resulted in a victory for Taturn, who 'secured 4 goals' 8 behinds to 3 behinds secured by their opponents. This result was somewhat of a surprise to moat people who take an -interest in football in this district. Henderson, who 'captained the 'local team, won the toss fTrm Campbell, the Tatura captain, and 'elected to kick to the eastern goal. Theo ball, on being kicked 'off, was sent well into .Monrnopna territory, bnt was quickly returned, chiefly through the efforts of ,Quinlan, Rochardson, and Sparrow. who worked it well up to the Tatnra goal, where, however, it was not suffered to remain long, for the Tatura oncka with a rush brought the ba~ past the centre, and very soon the Mooronipns goal was in danger. VISIT OF THIE RAILWAY COMMISSION~IERS. -4e---. The Railway Conmissioners, Messrs. Speight, Agg, and Ford, travelled over the new. railway line from Echlca to Tatura last week. The Cnmmissioners in company with Messrs. Darbyshire and Ford, O.E:'s, arrived at Ehnesca on Wednesday night, and proceeded as far as Tongala on Thursday. Atr Tongala they were met by a nlm ber-of residents, who'were divided in three parties, representing the claims of the three proposed station sites. A soniewhat stormy half hour entsued, whilhtthe Com missioners heard the claims of either party.
