WCD-VLSDAY MORNING. AUGUST l.lsoi Letter of Senator Jones of Tennessee. It is indeed cheering in this age of reli gious intolerance and Abolitionism, to meet with a letter such as that which will he found below. Senator Jokes was of the IIexky Clay school in politics bold, frank, honest in the expression of his views, rational in sentiment, eloquent and influential in the Whig party "Hut teas," and his advice should have been taken and heeded before that tarty in the South Hold itself to Know Nothing conspirators against free religion afiffl adopted citizens and in the North to the Abolitionisms, following the lead of Gibnisus, Cuask, Seward, Hale, Fred Doiv.las and ViL4- (of Massachusetts.) WEDNESDAY 1I0KNIN0, AUGUST 8,1655. Gov. Reeder's Removal. TVe have taken our position and we intend keep it. We have declared that we bad no confidence in Atchtxsom, a-id that he was a disgrace to the party; we hare denounced Stwxgtxllow and his gang of ruffians who had brought odium oa the principles of the Nebraska bill. We are confident that in expressing thaw sentiments we were echoing the unanimous voice of the Democracy of i Inliana. But we cannot be lea I to play into the hands of the Abolition. pres by adopting, without proof, their aspersions of the ciaracacter and imputations on the motive of President PlEXCB. It was to have beea expected the ppoteuts of Democracy would attempt to make political capital out of the removal of Gov. Riedm. Our adversaries are held together by the hope of public plunder; and having no principle of political action save one, via: to beat the Democrats and occupy their places, they of necessity must resort to unfounded assertions and baseless fa...

THURSDAY MORNINOAUGUSTU DEJIOCSATIC TICKET. WILLIAM STEWART. FOB auditor AUSTIN' II. BROWN. FOB COMMISSIONER, ABRAM C. LOGAN. . Our Meeting. Yesterday was a glorious time for the Democracy. THe sky was clear and the day was bright, significant of the fortunes of that great party which hare made it ever memorable by their imposing array of power and splendor. The big-guns were booming at fire o'clock in the morning, and from that time until we retired at twelve o'clock at night, evory thing was light, music and motion. And to an outsider, there certainly seemed men enough to make a great State, and decide on its destinies. We do not pretend to estimate the number present; but it was conceded by all our Whig friends, with whom we conversed, that such a gathering had never been soen at Indianapolis. Yet this prodigious oulpouring was but a drop in the Ocean, compared to the f...
