Swendsen,' who has charge of the local engineering- work on Utah Lake by the United States geological sur vey, has sent a communication to State I Engineer Doremus, chairman of the Arid Land Reclamation Fund Com mission, seating that the examinations made during the past season have not only demonstrated the practicability of the Utah Lake reservoir project, but that the lake presents exceptional ad vantages.
