The current worm which has been bo de structive of lato years In skeletonizing the hushes ran ho certainly destroyed by using whale-oil soap water, say about one pound of soap to an ordinary bucket of water. The worm will succumb to this If to noth ing else. So will any other worm or bug that we have tried it upon. A single (Iron on any of them will settle the hash with them, Apply the water with a sponge or garden syringe. The latter mode Is the best w here there la much to be done. Whale oil soap can bo purchased at any of the agricultural stores, or at the best giocery establishments. Allowing grapevines to run tip trees at will and to go unpinned, is still continued In some (planers. We tried this thirty vears ago and condemned It.
