CLARKE COURIER JOHN 0 CROWN, ??ditor and Proprietoi. WEDNK-sDAV. .JUNE 2-8, L? The democratic State convention of Kentucky has been i o session about a week without accomplishing anything. There are three candi? dates for Governor before the con? vention, viz; Harden, Stone and Goe bel. The two last named combined and effected an organization, after which, from some cause we do not understand, the Stone and Harden forces combined against Goebel, but when it comes to a square contest be tween either Stone or Harden as against Goebel, the combined forces or the former cannot concentrate their vote in any one directiou in op? position to Goebel. On Monday, as no progress could be made towards harmony, the members spent most of .the day singing songs. Several times a storm came near breaking out, but it was averted. Kentuckians rather prefer strife to peace, but they'll get over this feeling in the course of time. It is reported that there is a plan on foot to prevent the renomiuation o...
