ADDITIONAL LOCAL. C. C, Bennett, who lias lived in Lincoln and Capitan the past eighteen months, returned to Lincoln Thursday after a two months' visit with relatives in Denver, Colo. He is opinion that it is two or three degrees warmer in Denver than in this part of Lincoln county. A Mexican woman was taken off the cast bound train Sunday evening, placed on a stretcher and conveyed to her home nn the cast side. She had been in the Ala mogordo hospital where she had undergone an operation, and, ap peared to be very weak. Dr. lJa dcu, the local company surgeon, attended the helpless woman. G. 13. From' Pardons to Lincoln. Parsons, Friday, August 14. The mountains arc having inure than their share of rain; the grass is luxuriant and th; range is in flue condition. Miss Carriugton and her guest, Miss Coonce, of St. Louis, are visiting the family of Mr. J. M. Rice, yesterday and today. The Eagle Mining company has nearly completed all new buildings and repairs, and were to have started the mill up the first of the coming week. J. 13. Burrell, formerly at Car rizozo but now manager of P. G. Peters' store at Angus, reports splendid business conditions in Angus and surrounding country. Mr. and Mrs. Gcldcr and some other a fiicer s of the company and their wives are expected to urrivc in Carrizozo Thursday (yester day1), and will spend a few weeks at Parsons. Lincoln, August 17. A.
