A very distressing: accident occurred at the Perkins ranch Sunday morninjr; that nearly cost the life of a baby boy, and seriously impaired the peace of mind of two families for a few days. The little boy was Lloyd Schuster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Schuster, of St. Johns, and nephew of Mrs. Kli S. Perkins. Lloyd aud Marguerite Schuster with their aunt, Miss Mamie Baca, arrived in Congress Junction several days ago to visit with Mrs. Perkins while Mr. and Mrs. Schuster were taking their other two sons to Los Angeles to school. The little tots were playing in the yard some distance from the house when unnoticed by the other children the baby tooddled away and went directly to a pond in the back yard, and fell in. Anthony, who has recently died, was a woman suffragist before her sister Susan attended her first "woman's rights" convention in 1852, but Mary was present at that first meeting, called by Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cad y Stanton, at Seneca Falls. N. Y. in 1848- Miss Mary like her more famous sister, retained her interest in the ques tion almost until the hour of her death.
