WHIGS RALLYING TO THE SUPPORT OF THE ADMINIS TRATION. Wasiunqton, Juno 4, 1850. It was refreshing to day to hear the administration powerfully defended and sustained, both in the Senate and House, in good old fashioned vliij ' style. Messrs. Webster, Mull, Under wood, of Ky., and Dawson, of Ga., defended the President to-day in a tone which left no doubt as to the meaning, against a report of the scur rilous trash of the Washington Union, which was foisted upon the floor of the Senate by those lesser lights of the democracy, who seem to have been detailed to do this work, Messrs. Mradbury and Douglass, in their ' Speeches upon a resolution calling for information with reference to causes of removal. It was too much for Mr. Dawson to hear the honor of a South, crin man, and that man an old war worn soldier, whose whole life gives the lie to such insinuations, impugned by these violent nr.d, apparently, un scrupulous partisans of Maine and Illinois to bear Gen. Taylor charged with fal...
