Daniel Baker Collegian Z-7tt Velume XXXIII. ROWNWOOD TIXAS December t 1131. Number 10 REVERIES Seems that laat week we dipped up on the publication of the school across the tracka to ecoop them. You remember that we printed an All Texas Conference Team last week which had been prepared by the sports editor of that ichool thru the votes which had been cait by the sports editors of the colleges of the Texas Conference. Because of their homecoming festivities the school across the tracks did not dis- tribute its great weekly until Satur- day the day following the distribu- tion of The Collegian. Therefore we printed their story before they had a chance to do it. Ordinarily however we must bow before the great issue so we feel that they should not begrudge us our one scoop of the year and they said that they weren't mad. So we as- sure you of the fact that we're not either. We still haven't paid off with that steak dinner. Sometime ago you know our lives were threaten- ed if we did not ...

However In all. due consider- tion there Is one Incident of the past Jhat we can't overlook. It was that victory that our boys spelled out over the Plowboys down the John Tarleton way. We want to say here and now that the game was actually won by our man and that It was not by any stroke of luok or unusual ooouranoe that the baoon was brought home. About he finest thing about the victory was the way the Baker lads tied up the ball in the clos- ing minutes of the last quarter. With only a two point lead and about four minutes to go Baker got the ball and tied it up for three minutes on their own end of the court. Number It - Reveries - It Is truly a thrill to note the proffrcM that is beinf made al- ready on the newly proposed lib- rary. Dr. Moore has finished the bulldinf which will be his head- quarters. This is located on the site of the proposed building. Students have responded to the call which was made for their support and proved that they are behind the school. There are still a great many however who have not as yet pledged anything to the pro- ject We hope that they will noif wait any longer to do so. Every student who has been to Daniel Baker owes it to his school to give something to help to further its progress. And certainly every student of the instituiton ;now can afford to make a small donation of come kind. Even a dollar is some- thing and it shows that you are not a slacker. And there are very few students who could not afford a dollar for such a worthy cause. If you can't make it in your bud- get ...
