Fire Inquiry [Newspaper Article] — The Longreach Leader — 2 March 1923

Fire Inquiry On February 17th an inquiry was conducted by Sergean Hansen, before the Police Magistrate, at the local Court house,   into 'the circumstances surounded outbreaks of fire which occurred at a house     in Falcon street on January 12th and 13th   last.               James Alexander Smith, a laborer, sworn     stated he knew Alfred Keene, who lived about 100 yards from his place, in Falcon     Street. On the 12th January he was in his back yard and Lorna Keene, daughter of   Alfred Keene, came running over and said,     ''Our house is on fire." Witnesses gave the alarm at the fire station and returned to the fire. He saw that the fire had been in the dining-room.
