The Federal Cnstuns 'Is there to be a central ad ministration in connection with the Federal Customs depart ments? and who is to be placed in charge of it, if it is formed?' These two questions are ex ercising the minds of the officers of the Customs de partments throughout the Commonwealth. It was taken for granted before the Federal Ministry was constituted that the Minister of Trade and Customs tvould immediately select one or more of the senior officers of his several state de partments to advise him in regard to their amalgamation and the adoption of uniform rules and regulations.
