THEI MAGISTRATIE AND HIIS MAID The Pastoral Times contains a long report of a-,case .tried at the Police Oourt, Deniliquiu, in which the Police Magistrate of that district was ae cused of having taken liberties with his maid servant. The gist of .the charge will be gathered from the com plainant's evidence, which we extract from our contemporary.- John Kelly, Esq., Police Magis trate, appeared to answer a complaint, to the effect that he "did, on the night of the 24 July instant, assault ene Margaret Arnold, by kissing hler and plling her about.'"
