Anglican Church Ball. A BRILLIANT SPECTACLE. [Newspaper Article] — Ouyen Mail and Central Mallee Advertiser — 14 August 1914

Anglican Church Ball. A BRILLIANT SPECTACLE. The annual ball in connection with All Saints' Church was held in the hall on Thursday evening last, and from every point of view was an undoubted success. The I floor, which was in good order, was simply crowded and the fancy costumes presented quite a pleasing spectacle. The hall had been prettily decorated, and this further enhanced the brilliancy of the fuc tion. A word of praise is due to the untiring -eorts of the secretary (Mr V. F. O'Sullivan) and his committee for having had arrange.. ments so complete. A splendid supper was laid out in Mr O' Keefe's building on the opposite side of the street, where the choicest viands were in evidence. Good music was suppliec by Messrs A. M'Kenzie (violin) and D. Simpson (piano), who were ably assisted by others. The duties of M.C. were capably carried out by Mr J. M'Mahon. Cards for names and costumes were supplied by the MAIL office, in order that a complete list of those in fancy dress might...
