• ^ UMions ^ [Newspaper Article] — Farmer's Wife — 1 October 1906

• ^ UMions ^ SOME NEW TENDENCIES IN FASHIONS . Very dressy costumes as well as wraps show how elaborately beautiful the feminine apparel can be made while severe styles find best expression in the tailor suit tight fitting and of military aspect—a mode most dear to the hearts of American women and sure to hold its own with any rival . Some of the hose wraps are very elaborate with their wonderful cape effects and draperies and made in rich broadcloth or velvet are very elegant . Another style is more simple and answers for general wear . Not only loose coats , but fitted ones as well , show capes and hoods—the socalled monk s hood—which are often separable and may be omitted when desired . These latter are made bright and attractive with plaid silk linings or linings of plain color . Even capes may be donned with some assurance...
