The Oolonial Onice authorities have in formally assured Sir Graham Berry that they will not support the proposal of Sir Henry Parkes to change the name of Now South Wales to " Australia," provided that the other colonies enter a united protest against tlo proposal. They express the hope that the difliculty will bo settled without refer ance to the Imperial authorities. A great assemblage of the Liberal Union ist party was held in Dublin yesterday, coom. prising leading ropresentatives of Irish conm. mnerce, the manufaoturing industries, and leorned professions.
