BARMEDMAN. 20th November, 1882. [Newspaper Article] — Temora Herald and Mining Journal — 24 November 1882

BARMEDMAN, (frou ova owv ooKBKsroxsgirr.l 20th November, 1882. j Another thunderstorm came again and refilled our tanks and gave new life to vegetation, beside the incalcu lable advantage to be desired by prospectors. The latter part of the sentence will be considered ambiguous, for the prospectors are at present in prospecto. Besides the numerous quartz ridges within about eight or nine uunureu juros ox ue aus rear, which extend for many miles, other quartz country is to be found in the direction of East Wyalong, and there are sharp prominent ridges at die old log hut, about three miles from here. All these are of tbe primest slate and sandstone country, aud to the best of my belief, owing to the present busy season, there is not even a solitary miner knapping quarts. Captain Matthews is still pushing on work at the pulveriser, and the timbering of the big abaft will be finished to-day. The engine attached to the pulveriser is now on the bed logs, and the boiler has been raised by ...
