The Wilkie Divorce Case. The: abovo case, whioh has ongrosted tbe attention of Melbourne for somo time pas', came to a couclumon on Friday last, Mrs. Wilkie obtaiuing a divorce on tho second ground of adul tery and cruelty, tho Judgo dikallow ing the claim for divorce on account of habitual drunkennoss. Wilkie is a big railway contractor, and haa made vast sums of money, although strongly addicted to drink. Mrs. Wilkie has lately become possessed of a private fortune. In giving judgment, the Chief Jus tice said ho was inclined to say that habitual drunkenness must be of such a kind and of such frequent occurrence that that any reasonable person wonld consider it unreasonable to foice upon another person to endure it.
