ELTHAM CLUB "PEG LEG'S" NOTES [Newspaper Article] — Eltham and Whittlesea Shires Advertiser — 26 April 1940

SEBLTHAM CLUB "PEG LEG'S" NOTES Nearly all the old players are back at training again. To see all the boys together reminded one of the Sunday morning of last year's trip. The highlight of the day was when D. Scott, last year's best and fairest took the field and showed that his form is good and that his opponents will have to watch out. Hill and Syd Lawson, who kicked many goals between them last year, also showed out. Edwards, Scott and Bradford should do well as first ruck and make a good combination. Others who showed out were Stephenson, Rumney, Illingworth, Cresp and M. Lawson, brother of Syd. Players please note training starts early on Sunday morning.
