Judge Stewart s beetune . The political science taught in our college from twenty-five to thirty years ago amounted to about a half a _do-ceu lessons in Political Economy and a very biief and elementary course in the Constitution of the United Stales . When the present professor of English was appointed the duty of teaching both these subjects fell to him It was not unwelcome , for a year at Yale had done much to awaken his interest in them . By giving all the hours of the English department in the Senior year to Political Economy , Constitutional Law and another subject or two in similar lines a reasonably satisfactory presentation was possible . With the expansion of the curriculum by the introduction of elective studies a more complete survey of the political field was provided for . 99 Banquet Last Monday night the Juniors held their second annual banquet , at the Hotel Gettysburg . The occasion was one long to be remembered by those present .
