Philadelphia , May 24 . —The general market was quiet throughout the week . Butter remained steady , eggs advanced about Vic , live poultry was a shade easier , while dressed remained about steady . Fruits and vegetables showed little change . There was not much doing in the butter market . Receipts of western stock were light , but sufficient to supply the requirements . . Jacksonville , Fla ., May 24 . —The pineapple shipping season has started and carlots are now going into northern markets . General agent E . P . Porcher of the Indian River & Lake Worth Pineapple Growers Assn ., Whose permanent office is at Cocoa , Fla , has moved his headquarters to this place and will probably bo here till late in August .
